Shellac is merely a resin that is secreted by the lac bug. It can be processed and then sold as dry flakes. It can then be used as a brush-on colorant and most commonly as wood finish. Varnish, on the other hand, is a protective finish or film that is very hard and is also used in wood finishing. Shellac enhances the natural grain of wood and is very versatile and easy to use. It adds a smoothness to the surface of wood, acts as a sealer and moisture barrier, and does not create the “plastic” appearance of a polyurethane or lacquer. Shellac does not fade or yellow over time.
wood filler
Wood fillers are usually formulated with wood byproducts such as sawdust or wood dust suspended in a water- or petroleum-based medium. Water-based products should be used for only indoor applications, while petroleum-based fillers will usually stand up fairly well to outdoor use. These products dry very hard, but while they bond tightly to the wood, they are not true structural materials and will not improve the strength of wood joints. A wood filler is usually untinted; it is stained along with the surrounding wood after it is applied and sanded smooth.

A single pack, quick-drying clear sealer with good sanding properties but limited chemical and abrasion resistance especially designed to satisfy the porosity of new and bare wood prior to finishing.
Fast drying which allows more coats to be applied in a shorter period of time and thus speeds up completion of the job. Easy to apply.

NC Clear
Crown’s NC Lacquer, is an improved Marine varnish that protects the wood against water damage. It is mostly used on boats and dhows, but can also be used to protect furniture and wood fixtures in homes around the coastal areas.
Paint remover is a jelly-like, corrosive paste based on strong solvent, wax and salt for stripping oil-based and water-based paints and varnishes from previously painted substrates.

Fevicol 1K PUR is single component moisture curing polyurethane adhesive specially designed for exterior applications offers resistance to exterior climatic conditions.

Varnish stain
A hardwearing oil varnish stain, producing a gloss finish suitable for new and previously varnished timber surfaces. Available in six shades. Crown Varnish Stain is particularly suitable for use by furniture manufacturers and for general decorative use on all types of untreated timber.
